Internal Medicine

Stephen Abo, DO

"My passion for teaching matches my passion for medicine. I enjoy working with the medical housestaff and derive great satisfaction as they process and absorb complex concepts in Hematology. It is a privilege to have such a critical role in Medical Education."

Kenneth Bannerman, M.D., FACC

"As an intern I quickly realized that the art of medicine is passed from generation to generation not only by studying textbooks and journal articles, but also from teacher to student, resident to intern, attending to resident. From reading, we acquire knowledge. From teachers, we learn wisdom - how to apply knowledge in an effective way. I chose to join the medical staff of HUMC Mountainside because of its excellent Cardiology department and its excellent residency teaching program.
