Aneta Wojcik, D.D.S

Aneta Wojcik as a general dentist has provided care to many throughout the world from New York to Germany. She currently resides in the Upper East Side and is a clinical attending at Jacobi Medical Center/North Central Bronx Hospitals for special needs patients. Dr. Wojcik is an active member of Bronx County Dental Association and New York State Dental Association. As a New Yorker, she enjoys the quaint, quiet surroundings of suburban Montclair, New Jersey.

Meredith Blitz, D.D.S.

Dr. Meredith Blitz graduated with a BA from Johns Hopkins University, School of Arts and Sciences in 1991. She subsequently graduated from Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1995. Upon graduation, she completed the East Orange Veterans Affairs Medical Center certificate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1999. She obtained Board Certification through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2002 and successfully completed the recertification process in 2010.

In July of 1999, Dr. Blitz entered into both private practice and hospital-based oral surgery. She continues to work actively at both Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center teaching students and residents. She currently serves on multiple committees at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. As an active member of the St. Joseph’s attending physician staff, she participates in the trauma call schedule.

Anthony Cannilla, D.M.D.

An associate professor at the New York University College of Dentistry Post Graduate Prosthetic Program, Dr. Barnhard is also past president of the American College of Prosthodontists. He is a public member of the Essex County Bar Association Ethics Committee and is in private practice in Florham Park, NJ.

Emil Cappetta, D.D.S.

Dr. Emil Cappetta was born and raised in Summit, NJ and completed is BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and attended dental school at Columbia University. He received specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Bellevue Hospital and New York University’s Medical and Dental centers. Hi interest include: extractions of impacted wisdom teeth, exposure of impacted teeth and pre-orthodontic treatments, pre-prosthetic dentoalveolar surgery to prepare for dentures and tooth restorations, placement of Dental Implants for single tooth replacement and implant supported dentures, jaw reconstruction/bone grafting, tongue-tie release surgery, store-a-tooth- preservation of stem cells from extracted teeth for future patient needs, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders), cosmetic facial surgery/Botox/and facial fillers and light and deep sedation aswell as general anesthesia for dental and surgical treatments.

Alison Chan, D.M.D

Dr. Alison Chan graduated from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine and completed a GPR residency at NYU / Lutheran Medical center in Brooklyn NY. Her interest is Public Health Dentistry and hold a MPH degree from Columbia University. She is currently working in private practice and in a community health center sharing her expertise in public health. She wanted to share with the residents her clinical experience and expand their view of public health dentistry.

Paul L. Dionne, D.M.D

Dr. Paul Dionne completed a General Practice Residency at Mountainside Medical Center. He maintains an active General Practice in Glen Ridge, New Jersey and is interested in the management of patients with sleep apnea.

Hilly Ephros

Hilly Ephros is a Montclair resident who supports the dental residency program at Mountainside through educational sessions, taking calls and overseeing the cross-rotations between Mountainside and St. Joseph's where Dr. Ephros spends most of his time. He is Chairman of Dentistry and OMS at St. Joseph's, and directs the OMS residency program and the Regional Craniofacial Center. While he enjoys taking care of cleft patients, and doing and teaching the full spectrum of maxillofacial surgery by day, he is better known around Montclair for his appearances with the band Black Lace Blues.

Michael Erlichman, D.D.S.

Alan Gold, D.D.S.

Experienced in all aspects of general cosmetic implant dentistry, Dr. Gold shares his clinical experience with the residents to help prepare them for their careers.

Anne C. Hartnett, D.D.S.

Dr. Hartnett is board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology and limits her practice to periodontal and implant dentistry. She enjoys supervising surgical procedures by the residents including implant placement. In addition, she lectures on periodontal therapy and is involved in treatment planning seminars.

Sylvia Irwin, DMD, PhD

Dr. Irwin's interests include cosmetics and smile rehabilitation, the treatment of seniors and working with apprehensive patients. She maintains a solo practice in Nutley.

Howard Kotkin, D.D.S.

A pediatric dentist who practices in Chatham, Dr. Kotkin's entertaining approach to care for children and his dedication to developing the skills necessary for private practice have earned him several "Attending of the Year" awards at Mountainside Medical Center.

Ronald Kurlan, D.M.D.

Dr. Ronald Kurlan is a general dentist who is interested in sharing his knowledge of general dentistry with the residents.

Pamela Ledig, D.M.D.

Laurence Leff, D.M.D.

As an endodontist who has been on staff many years at Mountainside Medical Center, Dr. Leff is committed to providing clinical supervision and training for residents. He also practices in Montclair.

Kaivon Rahaghi, D.D.S.

James Skiba, D.D.S.

Dr. Skiba is co-author of "The Classification System for Completely Edentulous, Partially Edentulous, and Complete Dentate Patients," published in the Journal of Prosthodontics. A member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, he maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Montclair with an in-house dental laboratory facility. Previously, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at UMDNJ in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics. He currently provides didactic education in Prosthodontics for our General Practice Residency.

Maria Sokolina, D.D.S.

Dr. Maria Sokolina graduated from the top medical school in St. Petersburg, Russia with broad medical and dental training. She furthered her training and graduated from NYU Dental School in 1998 with Periodontics Honor Award. After graduation she completed her General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Sokolina has had articles published by American Journal of Orthodontics. Dr. Sokolina is a Diplomate of American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM). Earning Diplomat status from the ABDSM is a unique honor that recognizes special competency in dental sleep medicine. With only 15 Dentist in New Jersey, 20 In New York and 289 in the USA and Canada. Dr.Sokolina is Director of American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Accredited Facility. She is also accepted a position as a Member of Accreditation Committee for AADSM.

Dr.Sokolina is a provider for SleepArchitx - unique system, combining treatment for Sleep Apnea and Clear Aligners orthodontic treatment.

Dr.Sokolina's aspiration is to find cures for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, combining Restorative, Orthodontic and Sleep Apnea treatment to insure beautiful and long lasting results for her patients.

Carol Soufanati-Idrovo, D.M.D.
