Envisioning a future as a family medicine physician, I sought out to choose the program that would best prepare me for taking care of any patient who walks through my door. Interviewing with Hackensack Mountainside, I not only witnessed the strong culture of academic excellence and community involvement, but also the sense of camaraderie and support between the attending physicians, residents, and staff. When I matched to Hackensack Mountainside, I was thrilled to learn that I would be able to complete my training at a great program close to home. Though residency will be a challenging part of this journey in medicine, I am confident that my training at Mountainside, coupled with the team of amazing individuals I have the privilege of working alongside, will allow me to become a well-rounded and competent family medicine physician in the future.
