From the moment I began my journey with HackensackUMC Mountainside Family Medicine Residency Program, I sensed a rare combination of warmth, professionalism, and dedication to patient-centered care. What impressed me most during the interview process was how genuinely the residents and faculty cared not only about medicine but also about each other’s growth and well-being. As a new resident, I’ve already felt the
strength of this community through mentorship, teamwork, and the program’s emphasis on hands-on learning in a wide range of clinical settings. Mountainside’s location in a diverse, vibrant area also means I can give back to a population that reflects many of the communities I grew up in. I am proud to be part of a program where I know I will be challenged, supported, and shaped into the kind of physician I aspire to become, one who listens, advocates, and heals with compassion and competence.
