From my initial encounter with the Mountainside Family Medicine Residency Faculty, I felt an immediate sense of belonging. I knew this was a place I wanted to call home. Having been born and raised in Essex County, I can personally attest to how much Mountainside Hospital is dedicated to meeting the needs of its patients. When choosing a residency program, strong community involvement and resident support were very important to me, and Mountainside has exceeded my expectations. It is very evident that the faculty and staff here truly care about our well-being. As both a hospital and a residency program, they are very involved in giving back to the community. What stands out the most is how much everyone supports one another. There is a strong sense of camaraderie amongst all the residents, and everyone seems to genuinely care for one another. I am confident that I will get the support, knowledge, and excellent training needed to grow into a well-rounded, competent, and kind physician during my time here. I am ecstatic to be joining the Mountainside family and serving my community.
