Pursuing a residency in Family Medicine allows me to give back to the community that has provided me with so much. Growing up in the area, I have encountered a diverse group of people, culture, and experiences that shaped me into the person I am today. As such, there was no doubt that this was where I wanted to train and eventually serve as a physician. Choosing Hackensack UMC Mountainside Family Medicine Residency program as the provenance of my professional training was the best decision that I have made. In addition to being part of an expansive health care system in New Jersey, the residency program here also fosters the humane characteristics for cultivating patient-oriented physicians through a family-like structure and support system. It was obvious during interviews and even more so on my first day that people genuinely cared for each other here. Through this program I am certain that I will receive the optimal training to provide vital care and support for my fellow Parkway Riding Garden Staters.
