"I have always been interested in guiding and teaching the internal medicine residents. The internal medicine program is very strong and we have excellent residents joining our program on a competitive matching system. Once they come into the hospital, the residents provide excellent care under the guidance of core academic teachers and active medical staff. The Gastroenterology Division is an active core member of the hospital with 12 fulltime gastroenterologists who provide excellent care to the local community. The residents, taught and mentored by the GI faculty, actively participate in research on complex cases and participate in GI procedures. This year alone, we had five poster presentations accepted at the American College of Gastroenterology!"
